intern to with them gain valuable experience in the magazine world this
summer. This internship has flexible start/end dates. This unique
opportunity offers experience working with the editorial staff on articles
and researching information for upcoming issues, as well as working on
Special Interest Publications and websites. This person would also work
closely with the art staff to incorporate pictures, graphics, and

The ideal candidate will be a junior or senior in college and working

Seasonal Gardening Assistant

Gardening Assistants to work outdoors with our Corporate Gardener at the
Garden Gate test garden and other August Home locations. One
position is full-time and other is part-time (25–30 hours a week)
April–September.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be able to work independently with little direction
- Help maintain the gardens, mulch, weed, plant, water and more
- Have a degree in a plant-related field and/or master gardener certification or equivalent experience
- Enjoy working in the sunny outdoors with plants and not afraid to get dirty
- Have a flexible schedule to work some weekends, evenings and early mornings (typical hours are between 6:30AM–3PM)

Video Intern
August Home Publishing is looking for an intern to assist the Woodsmith
Shop TV show team during the filming and editing process this summer. We
need a team player willing to pitch in wherever needed as there may be a
good deal of errands to run. However, this person will be exposed to a
variety of video editing/producing elements and is a wonderful opportunity
for a student interested in this industry. The ideal candidate will be a
junior/senior in college majoring in Video Production or related field.
Experience with non-linear editing systems such as Adobe Premiere Pro and
Final Cut Pro is a plus. Internship will start in April or May and wrap up
in August or September.

knowledge, and a flexible schedule. Previous retail experience is a plus.
Plant Maintenance — Responsible for appropriate
watering and general care of all plant material. The ideal candidate will
have an interest in plants and enjoy being outside!
